Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our fast-paced Finance team. This is a permanent role that will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities and establishing strategic purchasing processes and procedures. The role also involves maintaining relationships with vendors or suppliers and negotiating contracts for major purchases. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company secures the best products and services at the best prices in order to maintain its competitive edge. Responsibilities:

1. Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies and budget.
2. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
3. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
4. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
6. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
7. Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
8. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
9. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
10. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
11. Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
12. Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Proven working experience as purchasing manager or in a similar role.
4. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
5. Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.
6. Working experience of vendor management software.
7. Ability to gather and analyse data and work with figures.
8. Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
9. Strong leadership capabilities.
