Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Purchasing Manager to join our fast-paced team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the strategic direction of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities and establishing strategic purchasing processes and procedures, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and negotiating contracts. This role requires a strong understanding of the purchasing environment and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high performance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
• Develop and implement strategies to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.
• Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
• Determine the quantity and timing of deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Proven experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
• Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.
• Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Solid judgement with the ability to make good decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to thrive in high-pressure situations.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Knowledge of key processes in procurement and the ability to manage supply/production planning activities.
• A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is preferred.
