Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager for our rapidly growing construction firm. This position will provide an exciting opportunity to manage diverse construction projects, from inception to completion, with a focus on plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. The chosen candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of the project execution including: project planning and design, procurement, construction, cost control, schedule, safety, quality, commissioning and closeout.
2. Develop and maintain project schedules, identify and manage risk, change orders, and control project costs.
3. Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and associated personnel to ensure project progress is on schedule and within budget.
4. Oversee the installation, assembly, and system start-ups of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
5. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety guidelines and comply with codes, standards, and legislation.
6. Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
7. Facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication between all project stakeholders.
8. Prepare and submit project reports, and ensure data accuracy and quality.
9. Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
10. Resolve project related issues and disputes in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a project management role in the construction industry, specifically managing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical projects.
3. Proven experience in project management and construction methodologies.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
6. Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
7. Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
8. Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects.
9. Strong knowledge of construction project management software such as Procore or similar.
