Job Details

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination: Work closely with the project management team to ensure the successful execution of multifamily construction projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project plans, specifications, and timelines are accurately followed.
Contract Administration: Assist in the preparation and review of contracts, change orders, and purchase orders. Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure contractual compliance, including progress reports, site logs, and record drawings.
Quality Control: Oversee quality control processes to ensure that construction activities meet industry standards, building codes, and project requirements. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals and reporting any discrepancies or potential cost overruns to the project management team.
Procurement and Logistics: Support the procurement process by obtaining bids from subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating proposals, and assisting with vendor selection. Coordinate deliveries and logistics to ensure timely arrival of materials and equipment to the construction site.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards. Maintain a strong focus on safety practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Construction Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation, including drawing revisions, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and closeout documents. Organize and maintain electronic and physical files for easy access and reference.
Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships and effective communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and subcontractors. Participate in regular project meetings, provide updates on project progress, and resolve any construction-related issues that arise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project engineering or management, preferably within the multifamily or commercial sector.
Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulations.
Proficient in construction project management software, including scheduling, document control, and collaboration tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across various teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with LEED certification and sustainable construction practices is a plus.
