Job Details

Currently seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join an established Mechanical Contractor in the Charlotte area. As an HVAC Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning and execution of project work plans, managing day-to-day office and field operations, and ensuring the successful delivery of multiple high-quality projects within budget and on time.
You will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, as well as demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple high-quality HVAC projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Process scope changes and change orders in a timely manner, incorporating them into the current scope of work.
  • Review various reports to assess project status and take appropriate actions.
  • Provide periodic status updates and conduct end-of-contract cost and budget analysis.
  • Conduct pre-job planning meetings, document meeting results, and ensure completion of action items.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with the master project schedule.
  • Establish and execute subcontracts and equipment buy-outs to support project schedules and budgets.
  • Interact with customers, schedule and chair special and regular status meetings, and record meeting outcomes with customers, subcontractors, and city inspectors.
  • Communicate all project issues to the appropriate management level in a timely manner.
  • Identify, evaluate, and address customer needs, propose solutions, and resolve or escalate issues to mitigate team conflict and communication problems.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership by managing team project tasks, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making constructive suggestions.
  • Mentor team members with less experience through implementation of training programs and participate in development opportunities.
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes, lead internal task forces, and help enforce standard policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of prior project management experience overseeing HVAC scopes of large commercial projects
  • Prior field experience in HVAC Service or HVAC Construction
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in planning and managing multiple construction projects in various phases of design and construction in a supervisory capacity as a Project Manager.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean background screening as applicable for the role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, and CX Alloy applications.
