Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager with a background in excavation in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, fast-paced company, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our excavation projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing large-scale excavation projects within the construction sector.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project success.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Review work progress on daily basis and make adjustments as necessary to meet project deadlines.
• Use specialized construction industry software for project management and estimating.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
• Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically in excavation.
• Proven experience as an estimator, excavator, and land surveyor.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in construction project management and estimating software.
• Solid understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and manage teams.
• Ability to negotiate and work with clients and vendors.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Professional Project Management (PMP) certification will be considered a plus.
