Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a leader in the construction industry, we are committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. In this role, you will be a key player in the planning, managing, and execution of our projects, ensuring they meet our clients' expectations. This is a permanent position with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
2. Prepare accurate estimates and bids for projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
3. Respond to RFI's and manage submittals.
4. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
5. Coordinate and oversee all project activities, from initiation to completion.
6. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement effective solutions.
7. Communicate regularly with team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing regular updates and reports.
8. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring the best possible terms.
9. Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the construction industry. Previous estimating experience a big plus.
2. Proven experience in budgeting, estimating, bidding, responding to RFI's, and managing submittals.
3. Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
5. Expertise in contract negotiation, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Proficient in relevant software, including project management and estimation tools.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
9. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
