Job Details:

We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Project Manager with a speciality in Concrete for our fast-paced construction firm. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to lead and manage our concrete construction projects from inception to completion. You will be an integral part of our team, working directly with contractors, clients, and other construction professionals to ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Project Manager - Concrete, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
2. Conducting site inspections and coordinating with construction crews and subcontractors to ensure the quality of work and adherence to safety standards.
3. Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resources, and effectively communicating project status to all stakeholders.
4. Negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, and managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
5. Identifying, analyzing, and responding to project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
7. Leading and motivating project teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Project Manager - Concrete position will have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project management in the construction industry, with a specific focus on concrete.
2. A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations. Specific expertise in concrete construction is a must.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, and the ability to motivate and manage diverse project teams.
5. Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Proficient in project management software and tools, and comfortable with technology.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage project risks and issues.
8. A commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
