In this role, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for construction projects or services to aid management in bidding on or determining the price of product or service.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Project Estimator - CSA, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing cost estimates by analyzing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
2. Identifying labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and related documents.
3. Computing costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
4. Resolving discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
5. Presenting prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
6. Maintaining cost data base by entering and backing up data.
7. Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
8. Coordinating take-offs and working closely with subcontractors on contract bids.
9. Utilizing specific software such as Timberline, On Screen, and Quick Pen for accurate and efficient estimating.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Estimating or a related field within the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in CSA (Concrete, Structural, Architectural) estimating.
3. Experience with coordinate take-offs, Timberline, On Screen, Quick Pen softwares.
4. Proven ability to work with subcontractors on contract bids.
5. Exceptional numerical skills and a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
9. A commitment to maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge.
10. A degree in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying would be advantageous.
