Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineer to join our thriving team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on some of the most innovative and exciting construction projects. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground utilities, water, sewer, civil infrastructure, and other related areas. You will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and finalization of our construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
3. Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors.
4. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
5. Working with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
6. Handling change orders, submittals, and RFIs effectively and efficiently.
7. Managing and executing CMAR, design/build, JOC, grading, structural concrete, and heavy civil projects.
8. Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
9. Conducting on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.)
10. Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a project engineer role in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in underground utilities, water, sewer, civil infrastructure, CMAR, design/build, JOC, grading, structural concrete, heavy civil, change orders, submittals, RFI.
4. Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
5. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
6. Project management and supervision skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
9. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
10. Excellent time and project management skills.
