Are you an experienced Project Engineer in the construction industry looking for a dynamic and challenging role? We are seeking a motivated and skilled Permanent Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to our exciting construction projects. This role will involve working closely with our project managers and construction teams to ensure all engineering aspects of our construction projects are executed with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction management, RFI, and submittals.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Collaborating with project managers and construction teams to plan, design and implement construction projects.
2. Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
3. Coordinating and processing submittals and RFIs, and tracking their status to ensure timely responses.
4. Utilizing software platforms such as Bluebeam and Procore for project management and document control.
5. Monitoring project progress, checking for quality, and identifying and resolving issues that may arise during construction.
6. Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
7. Conducting project reviews to assess overall project status and making recommendations for improvements.
8. Coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution of projects.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
3. Proven experience with construction management, RFI, and submittals.
4. Proficiency in using construction software such as Bluebeam and Procore.
5. Strong understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
9. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
