Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Problem solves with the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop effective plans and schedules for constructing the project and determine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals.
  • Interprets drawings, specifications and technical information and disseminates to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design details.
  • Identifies, orders and coordinates delivery of permanent materials such as pipe, stone, reinforcing steel, beams, etc. Works with the Project Team and - Purchasing Department to ensure that all required purchase orders and subcontracts are finalized in a timely and cost-effective and simplistic manner.
  • Manages the RFI and submittal process including establishment and maintenance of project control logs in CMiC.
  • Processes owner billings and project related accounting tasks.
  • Assists Project Manager with development of Change Orders and related documentation.
  • Monitors all work, including subcontractors, for safety compliance in conjunction with the Safety Manager. Maintains project safety files and reviews the project schedule for activities requiring special safety measures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction management (estimating, operations, and/or engineering) role. Heavy civil experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related major, or equivalent required. Continuing education in construction is highly desirable.
  • OSHA 30 hour required.
  • FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification preferred.
  • Must possess working knowledge of contract administration systems, job cost management, change order management, labor & equipment reporting, planning, and scheduling, preconstruction planning, safety policies and procedures, safe work procedures
