We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Project Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This role will offer you the chance to work on various projects, providing financial analysis, forecasting, and accounting support. You will be responsible for managing project budgets, change orders, monthly billing invoices, and tracking materials. Your expertise in financial trends, financial metrics, and construction draws will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Project Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of project accounting including the preparation of project budgets, change orders, and monthly billing invoices.
2. Tracking materials and project management to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
3. Conducting financial analysis and forecasting to assist in decision-making processes and to ensure the financial success of projects.
4. Monitoring and analyzing financial trends and financial metrics to provide accurate and relevant financial information to stakeholders.
5. Preparing construction draws and managing revenue projections.
6. Collaborating with the project management team to ensure that all financial reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
7. Ensuring procedures, practices, and internal controls are followed to maintain the accuracy of financial data and safeguard assets.
8. Managing payroll timekeeping to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Project Accountant position, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Experience with project budgets, change orders, monthly billing invoices, and tracking materials.
4. Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting, with a strong understanding of financial trends and financial metrics.
5. Experience with construction draws and revenue projections.
6. Strong knowledge of payroll timekeeping.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
