Project Accountant (Deltek)

We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Project Accountant to join our vibrant team. This role is instrumental in managing the financial aspects of our projects, providing key insights and ensuring financial accuracy across our operations. As a Project Accountant, you will be working closely with project managers, finance teams, and other key stakeholders, using the Deltek Vantagepoint system. You will be responsible for managing project accounting, billing, and AIA billing processes. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage project accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided for all projects.
2. Prepare, review, and analyze project financial reports, identifying any discrepancies and providing solutions to rectify them.
3. Oversee billing processes, including AIA billing, ensuring all invoices are accurately prepared and sent out in a timely manner.
4. Use Deltek Vantagepoint to manage project financials, keeping the system updated with the latest project information.
5. Work closely with project managers to understand project budgets, costs, and forecasts, providing financial advice and support as needed.
6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, maintaining an accurate record of all financial transactions.
7. Participate in financial audits, providing necessary documentation and information as required.
8. Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, not required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the finance industry.
3. Proficient in using Deltek Vantagepoint and experience with AIA billing.
4. Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
5. Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
