Our leading-edge engineering firm is seeking a dynamic Permanent Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in production supervision within the engineering industry. Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be expected to:

1. Oversee daily operations in the production department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

2. Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and safety protocols to optimize production efficiency and ensure a safe working environment.

3. Lead kaizen events to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.

4. Provide leadership and guidance to production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and excellence.

5. Monitor production processes and equipment to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure that operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

6. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and achieve production targets.

7. Collaborate with other departments such as quality, maintenance, and engineering to address production-related issues and improve operational efficiency.

8. Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and facilitate training and development opportunities for production staff.

9. Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in production supervision in the engineering industry.

2. Proven experience implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and safety protocols.

3. Experience leading kaizen events and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. A strong understanding of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

9. Proficiency in using production management software and tools.

10. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
