Production Supervisor

We are currently seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to join our team. We specialize in creating adhesive bonded fastening to bear on the technical challenges of the marine, energy, and other industrial sectors. The Production Supervisor will be overseeing, coordinating, and assessing the production operation within a designated area. In this role, the individual ensures that products meet high-quality standards and are produced in adherence to established production procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate dedication to inspiring, developing, and mentoring employees and peers to uphold company culture and embrace philosophies such as 6S, Visual Management, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Specify, install, configure, calibrate, and oversee the maintenance of process control system elements.
• Uphold a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with OSHA requirements. This involves managing reports, conducting employee safety training, completing monthly safety checklists, overseeing safety supplies inventory, ensuring safe workstations and tools, and enforcing the proper use of safety equipment.
• Take a lead role and/or actively participate in root cause analysis to develop effective methods for examining and reducing defects.
• Proactively initiate, encourage, and foster a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Analyze factors such as supply and demand, production capacity, yield, and rate to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications:

• High proficiency and comprehension of various manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Understanding of manufacturing process logic.
• In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and toolsets.
• Demonstrated awareness of sales, forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning.
• Familiarity with Supply Chain Management operational concepts related to production planning, scheduling, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Capability to identify problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency in interpreting a diverse range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Use and familiarity with measuring tools, interpretation of visual aids and blueprints, and the ability to perform shop math.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey information across multiple groups within the organization.
• Strong project management skills, encompassing planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and successfully resolve conflicts.
• Knowledge of first aid, safety protocols, and understanding of OSHA requirements.
• Previous experience in personnel management, including supervision, training, coaching, development, motivation, interviewing, hiring, and termination, while leading by example.

EDUCATION:

• Associate (AA) or Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in business or manufacturing-related field, or a combination of experience and education.
• Relevant and demonstrated work experience of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in personnel supervision and leadership in a manufacturing environment with time management, safety, risk management, and quality assurance skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
