JOB SUMMARY:
Manufacturing manager is responsible for monitoring all aspects of the production process including supervision of workers, Quality Assurance standard, process improvement and cost reduction. Plan, organize and control production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, withing budget and to standard.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: Include the Following:

  • Controls correct functioning and performance of both, equipment and assigned personnel.
  • Implements the general production strategy, with a focus on personnel, material and economic resources.
  • Proposes and implements improvements on efficiency (OEE), waste and downtime reduction, and safety and quality assurance.
  • Conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with production and other departments.
  • Provide leadership, technical advice & consulting, direction, training and coaching in production planning principles.
  • Actively promote and enforce safe work practices at all times. Continually strive to eliminate hazardous acts, conditions and attitudes and help deliver zero accidents.
  • Fully utilizes resources to assist the plant achieving uptime in production. Ensures employee schedules are being uploaded by the supervisors and attendance policy if being enforced.
  • Responsible to effectively and efficiently manage production KPIs and ensure the support documents are completed.
  • Complies with Risk Management, Quality Control, Safety assurance, and Environment policies.
  • Assures compliance with GMP and SQF regulations by all members of the staff.
  • Distributes workload in sections allocating the required personnel.
  • Motivates, encourages and works with personnel, assuring team training with the goal of meeting manufacturing targets.
  • Routinely ensures optimal maintenance of machinery, facilities and tooling, working with maintenance team.
  • Manages production paperwork (reporting, documentation, etc).
  • Works with the Plant General Manager to develop training and orientation of supervisors and employees.
  • Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings.).
  • Informs supervision of any problems or complications that may arise
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
  • Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime
  • The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for Food Safety and enforcing the SQF Code. In the absence of the Manufacturing Manager, a Production Supervisor of choice will be the backup.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed/assigned by the Plant General Manager.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, technology, and equipment. Experience in food industry a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and collaborating with other departments.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
