Procurement Manager

We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will responsible for overseeing the team that conducts placing, tracking and expediting material, services, and equipment purchases for fastener manufacturing purposes. This is a senior level purchasing position that will work with established and potential new suppliers, leading strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and successfully qualify new suppliers. Thy will have daily interaction with the manufacturing department to ensure accurate, timely and quality delivery of materials, services, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier relationships (cost, delivery, quality).
• Develop ties with key suppliers.
• Plan procurement strategies based on forecasts.
• Act as procurement liaison for new products.
• Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Oversee Procurement team's performance.
• Set consistent Procurement goals.
• Foster team engagement.
• Develop performance metrics and monitor them.
• Analyze data for optimal supply chain execution.

Qualifications:

• Thorough grasp of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
• Complete familiarity with warehouse, inventory control policies and methods.
• Extensive capability in negotiating optimal vendor terms, pricing, and delivery aligned with budget and schedule.
• Skill in comprehending and highlighting contract terms, particularly disadvantageous clauses.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory systems, Max/ERP experience preferred.
• Accurate intermediate math abilities, including percentages, discounting, payback, and ROI analysis.
• Adherence to deadlines and willingness to exceed expectations for project completion.
• Collaborative team-oriented work style.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• 10 years of manufacturing purchasing experience (preferred).
• Supervisory/managerial background (preferred).
• Aerospace procurement for machined parts.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001 and AS9100 compliance.
• Experience in contract development and management.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and order generation logic.
• Proficiency in Supply Chain Management concepts including production planning, scheduling, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, and purchasing techniques.
