Process/Quality Engineer - Heavy Manufacturing

Since the 1980's we have been a national leader in continuous casting aluminum rolling. Our patented process allows us to supply the highest-grade aluminum sheets to packaging and automotive industries with various alloys, thicknesses, and coatings.

As a Process/Quality Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing to ensure processes are in control and continually improved with respect to safety, quality, productivity, and cost. These processes include cold rolling and annealing.

• Oversight and improvement of product quality, safety, productivity, and cost.
• Control of the cold rolled gauge, flatness, leveling, surface quality, cold mill coolant quality, and yield.
• Leading and driving effective Corrective and Preventive Action.
• Daily communication of issues and opportunities to upstream and downstream operations.
• Daily communication and follow-up with Maintenance and Engineering on equipment issues and opportunities.

MUST HAVE:

• BS in a related field
• 2+ years of quality or process engineering within a manufacturing environment
• 1+ years of experience in rolled coil or cold milling environments
• Lean Six Sigma belt certification
• Continuous improvement experience

NICE TO HAVE:

• Aluminum rolling experience
• Cold milling
