Process Engineer

Two years of post-undergraduate experience in engineering strongly preferred, with experience working on a continuous production line and/or with non-woven manufacturing desired.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving industrial processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification.
• Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data.
• Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
• Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Perform process simulations and troubleshooting.
• Manage cost and time constraints.
• Perform risk assessments.
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers, production personnel, and management to ensure that processes are aligned with the company's overall objectives.
• Oversee operational processes to ensure that they are efficient and consistent.
• Analyze process data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement, Manufacturing Engineering, non-wovens, continuous production line.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering software packages and technologies.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
• Aptitude in math, problem-solving, and statistics.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Knowledge of process-related standards.
• Experience in process simulations and working knowledge of process engineering software packages.
• Proven track record in managing time and resources effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideas.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
