We are in search of a dynamic and highly skilled Preconstruction Manager to lead our team in the planning and design phases of our construction projects. This role is perfect for a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a significant impact on our projects from the initial concept through to the start of construction. The successful candidate will have a strong background in estimating, bids, and design management, and will be tasked with ensuring that our projects are planned and designed in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the preconstruction phase of our projects, including the planning, design, and estimating processes.
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for our projects, and ensuring that these are accurate, competitive, and profitable.
  • Collaborating closely with our clients, architects, and engineers to develop and refine project designs, and ensuring that these designs meet our clients' needs and expectations, as well as all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Identifying and assessing potential risks and challenges in our projects, and developing strategies and plans to mitigate these.
  • Reviewing and approving all preconstruction documentation, including plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to our team on all aspects of preconstruction, and ensuring that our team has the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles.
  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating our preconstruction processes and strategies, and driving improvements to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the construction industry.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in estimating, bids, and design management.
  • A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make accurate and effective decisions under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our clients, team, and other stakeholders.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate our team to achieve their best.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and estimating software.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the construction industry.
