Job Details

QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Electrical Engineering with 0 - 5 years of experience in power systems designs.
Familiarity working with NRTL agencies such as UL, CSA, CE
Implementation of Three-Phase power systems up to 600VAC
High Voltage DC experience up to 1000VDC is a plus.
Familiarity with Battery Chargers and associated power requirements is a plus.
Designs are developed to meet NRTL (UL, FCC, etc.) requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Uncompromising attitude toward safety, quality, and customer service.
Knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO-9000 or QS-9000
Knowledge of EMC/EMI safety
Solid understanding of electricity both AC and DC
Familiarity with electrical test equipment such as DMM’s, Current Probes, Oscilloscopes, etc.
Familiarity with CAN communication is a plus.


Essential Job Functions:
Develop battery pack systems to support the electrification of Material Handling and Construction
Equipment Industry.
Manage activities related to sourcing and evaluating battery pack systems.
Support mechanical engineers and application design teams to meet electrical/thermal requirements.
Develop detailed battery design specifications based on business development/sales team and customer
inputs.
Ability to read, write, and build battery systems solutions utilizing wiring diagrams.
Provide total system integration oversight from early procurement to final assembly support.
Creation of engineering documentation and controlled drawings assuring the accuracy, clarity, and
consistency of all documents and drawings.
Test and evaluate electrical components, subassemblies, and products.
Works with internal resources, suppliers, and NRTL agencies to ensure and certify products or
subassembly compliance with the appropriate electrical standards and regulations.
Assists NRTL testing and approval process.
Understand and navigate regulatory requirements to ensure designs meet required standards.
Assist with the development of product technical objectives and alternative strategies, designs, materials,
etc.
Provides technical support to business development/sales team, manufacturing, service, and supply
chain management organizations.
Lead the design implementation into manufacturing and support the production department if required.
Identify and initiate technical projects/programs that will lead to product innovation, improvements to
existing processes and finished goods, productivity increases, and cost reductions.
Assist with the development of technical objectives for projects with alternative strategies for design and
materials.
Document the concepts, testing, and analysis processes.
Provide conceptual layout and integration of non-standard purchase components.
