Job Details

This Plastics Manufacturing Engineer will be instrumental in developing and optimizing processes to produce plastic components and products for tier-one client companies nationally.
Your expertise in thermoforming technologies, mold design, and material science will contribute to our continuous improvement and innovation efforts. As a Plastics Manufacturing Engineer, you will be the local subject matter expert on our plastics thermoforming and vacuum-forming processes internally, providing technical support and training to ensure the successful implementation of new procedures while ensuring the safety regulations and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop thermoforming and vacuum forming processes for plastic production.
Optimize mold designs and process parameters to achieve desired product specifications and quality standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects and product designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
5+ years in plastics manufacturing with a focus on thermoforming and vacuum forming processes.
Strong knowledge of thermoforming technologies, including tooling design, heating methods, and material behavior/properties.
Proficiency in CAD software for mold design and process simulation.
