Job Details:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to join our team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about driving operational excellence, implementing lean manufacturing principles and leading a team to achieve outstanding results. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient and safe production of high-quality products. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
2. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance performance and productivity.
3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting lean manufacturing principles and processes.
4. Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) by tracking expenses, coordinating budgeting processes and implementing cost control measures.
5. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a culture of excellence in safety practices.
6. Collaborate with other departments to align with company objectives and customer requirements.
7. Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and innovation.
8. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all manufacturing processes are in compliance with industry and government standards.
9. Implement strategies to improve quality of products, productivity and profitability.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, Business or a related field.
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.
3. At least 5 years of managerial experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
4. Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
5. Solid understanding of P&L management and budgeting processes.
6. Proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving operational excellence.
7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on attitude.
9. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and regulatory compliance.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
