Job Details

As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall plant operations, including Capex projects, plant efficiency, continuous improvement, production, and operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in plant management, preferably in a USDA Food Plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Lead Capex projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including USDA regulations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employees to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Develop and manage the plant budget, ensuring that expenses are within budgetary constraints.
  • Hire, train, and manage plant staff, ensuring that all employees are properly trained and motivated to perform their duties.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in plant management, preferably in a USDA Food Plant.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of employees.
  • Experience managing Capex projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of plant efficiency and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including USDA regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
