Plant Controller

Jobot dedicated and experienced Plant Controller to join our client's manufacturing team. As the Plant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the plant operations, providing financial analysis, reporting, and strategic insights to support business decisions.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Plant Controller to join our team. In this exciting role, you will be a key player in the financial management of our manufacturing operations. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in cost accounting, general ledger management, and month-end close processes in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of ERP systems and hold a CPA certification.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations of the plant, including the development and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
2. Ensure accurate and timely month-end close activities, including analysis of manufacturing variances, cost center expenses, and inventory valuation.
3. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
4. Drive cost reduction initiatives through process improvements and efficiencies in the plant.
5. Collaborate with plant management and corporate finance to develop strategic plans for the plant.
6. Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
7. Lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial expertise and critical analytical support to the plant management team.
8. Develop and present financial reports, metrics, and ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making processes.
9. Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
10. Train and mentor finance staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A CPA certification is required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Plant Controller or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
3. Proven expertise in cost accounting and general ledger management.
4. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough understanding of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
6. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information and concepts to non-financial managers.
8. Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence senior leadership.
9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
