We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills in Garnishments, 401K, Multi State tax, and weekly payroll. You will be responsible for managing the payroll of our 145 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all payroll matters. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately process weekly payroll for 145 employees, ensuring all payments are made on time and in full compliance with company policies and state/federal laws.
2. Manage and oversee all aspects of Garnishments, 401K, and Multi State tax.
3. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including timesheets, benefits, taxes, deductions, and garnishments.
4. Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies to improve efficiency.
6. Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.
7. Stay updated with the latest changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
8. Coordinate with HR and accounting departments to synchronize payroll data, benefits, and deductions.
9. Perform year-end processing tasks, such as W-2 and tax reconciliation.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll position, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in Garnishments, 401K, Multi State tax, and weekly payroll.
3. Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and legislation.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of urgency.
6. Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
