Payroll Specialist

Our client, a global manufacturing company, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately processing payroll for employees across multiple states in a timely manner.
2. Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately, including wages, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
3. Managing and resolving issues relating to payroll production.
4. Processing garnishments, tax levies, and other deductions as required.
5. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
6. Collaborating with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
7. Preparing and submitting reports on payroll activities to the management team.
8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
9. Identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.
10. Providing excellent customer service to employees through timely, knowledgeable, and courteous responses to questions and requests.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1+ years of experience in payroll processing.
2. Proficiency in data entry, garnishment processing, and tax levies.
3. Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations.
4. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
5. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
6. Strong numerical aptitude and data entry skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic.
8. A high level of proficiency with payroll software.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
