This Leadership role will be responsible for ensuring that the company is following federal, state, and local laws relating to payroll, benefits, 401k, taxes and anything else that would fall under the Fair Labor and Standards Act. Along with the routine auditing you’ll be doing, you will also be tasked with payroll & accounting vendor management and process improvement. You also get to be involved in the creation and improvement of systems and policies and procedures relating to payroll, accounting, and compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintains compliance with FLSA laws and individual state and local laws.
• Multi-state payroll tax compliance
• Drives key compliance initiatives and maintains up to date knowledge on new or pending legislation.
• Manage all escheatment processes for payroll and accounting related items
• Provide job cost and labor management reports, actual and versus budgets.
• Audits payroll system set-ups, workers comp, benefits, 401K, payroll, and employee files for accuracy

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in Accounting
• CPP – Certified Payroll Professional
• 7+ years of payroll experience
• 5+ years of management experience
• 5+ years of ADP Workforce Now experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing payroll taxes across multiple states and multiple FEIN’s
• Proficient in in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
