We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Contract Payroll Associate to join our dynamic team. This position will start ASAP, allowing for knowledge transfer prior to the incumbent's leave in August. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about payroll management and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Payroll Associate, your primary responsibilities will be:

1. Processing and managing all aspects of payroll promptly and accurately.
2. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations.
3. Managing payroll-related functions including, but not limited to, benefits deductions, garnishments, sick and vacation time, and 401(k) contributions.
4. Reconciling payroll data and resolving any discrepancies that arise.
5. Preparing reports detailing payroll data for review by management.
6. Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
7. Collaborating with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data.
8. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax and deduction laws that may affect the payroll process.
9. Assisting in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll, preferably within the manufacturing space.
2. In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and payroll processing.
3. Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address and resolve employee inquiries and issues.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
9. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
