Party Chief

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Party Chief to join our fast-paced Engineering firm. This unique role will offer the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, providing key leadership and technical expertise in the field of Land Surveying, Environmental Engineering, Site Development, and Land Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating survey crews, ensuring accurate data collection, and providing expert guidance on various projects. Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage the operations of the survey crew, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Conduct land and boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices during site development and land development projects.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members.
• Prepare and maintain detailed field notes, sketches, and reports.
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to collect and analyze data.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to design and implement site development plans.
• Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Regularly communicate project status, issues, and updates to management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Land Surveying, Environmental Engineering, Site Development, and Land Development.
• Professional Surveyor License preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles and practices, environmental regulations, and site development processes.
• Proficient in using surveying equipment and software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project requirements.
