We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Outside Sales Account Manager to join our team. This exciting role is based in the HVAC Engineering industry, and the individual will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a proven track record in outside sales, especially in the HVAC equipment sector.

Responsibilities:

The Outside Sales Account Manager will be responsible for:

1. Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
2. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
3. Partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
4. Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
5. Understanding category-specific landscapes and trends.
6. Demonstrating the ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
7. Identifying new opportunities and potential customers in the construction industry.
8. Negotiating and closing sales deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
9. Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
10. Forecasting and tracking key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
11. Collaborating with the marketing team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Outside Sales Account Manager role will have:

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the construction/engineering industry.
2. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
3. Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
4. Proven ability to position products against competitors.
5. Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients' needs.
6. Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
7. Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
9. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
10. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
11. BA/BS degree or equivalent.
12. Experience with HVAC equipment is a strong advantage.
