Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Operations Manager to join our Engineering team. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage operations in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our food production processes, and the efficient use of automation equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and will be proficient in managing daily workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of our food production facilities, ensuring that all processes run reliably and efficiently.
• Implement and manage automation equipment, optimizing its use for maximum productivity.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and FSMA regulations, implementing necessary changes to meet these standards.
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress, managing and optimizing operational processes and procedures.
• Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports.
• Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
• Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
• Ensure that all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in an operations management role within the engineering industry.
• Proven experience with food production, automation equipment, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and managing daily workflow.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business from a creative point of view.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create a positive working environment.
• Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations and a proven track record in meeting compliance standards.
• In-depth knowledge of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and its application in food production processes.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with project management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong decision-making and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
