Job Details

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Litigation Attorney with 4-10 years of experience in securities litigation to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on handling complex shareholder derivative actions, securities fraud cases, antitrust litigation, and whistleblower claims. The ideal candidate will have a track record in (either side) securities class actions, offering an opportunity to those on the defense side looking to switch to the plaintiff side.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage securities litigation cases with a focus on shareholder derivative actions and securities fraud.
  • Develop and litigate whistleblower cases and engage in antitrust litigation practices.
  • Represent plaintiffs in high-stakes securities class actions, working closely with a team dedicated to providing excellent legal services.
  • Prepare legal documents, conduct legal research, and provide legal counsel and advice.
  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and participate in depositions and court proceedings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all legal activities.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the bar.
  • 4-10 years of experience in securities litigation, preferably with some experience in a plaintiff-focused practice
  • The position is open to associates currently working in defense who are interested in transitioning to plaintiff-side work.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills with a creative thought process and a strong academic record.
  • While experience in Delaware's Court of Chancery is not required, corporate governance and Chancery Court are preferred areas of experience
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
