We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join our dynamic team. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing processes, with a specific focus on Aluminum. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dedicated team that drives our company's success. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a variety of projects, applying their expertise in metallurgy to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and contribute to the company's growth and success.

Responsibilities:

As a Metallurgist, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting comprehensive analysis and testing of aluminum materials to ensure they meet the necessary quality standards.
2. Developing and implementing strategies to improve the production process, including reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
3. Collaborating with the production team to understand their needs and challenges, and providing solutions based on your expertise in metallurgy.
4. Providing technical support and guidance to the team on matters relating to material selection, process improvement, and problem-solving.
5. Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in metallurgy and incorporating this knowledge into your work.
6. Conducting failure analysis investigations and providing detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
7. Collaborating with the research and development team to create new products and improve existing ones.
8. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, Mechanical Engineer or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. will be considered an asset.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Metallurgist in the manufacturing industry, with a specific focus on Aluminum.
3. Strong knowledge of metallurgical testing methods and procedures.
4. Proficiency in using metallurgical lab equipment.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable way.
7. The ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
9. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
11. Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to metallurgy.
