We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic MEP Engineer to join our fast-growing engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, providing technical expertise in the design, construction, and maintenance of building systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering, with a focus on acccessibility, sustainability and energy efficiency. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and longevity of our projects, contributing significantly to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough property condition assessments to evaluate the state of existing building systems and identify necessary upgrades or repairs.
  • Review building designs and plans, providing expert input on the integration of MEP systems.
  • Perform comprehensive energy audits to identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
  • Carry out forensic evaluations to determine the cause of building system failures and develop effective solutions.
  • Design and evaluate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring they meet all relevant codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems into overall building design.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the field, incorporating new technologies and techniques into your work as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on building systems design and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting property condition assessments, energy audits, and forensic evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection system design and evaluation.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard software for design and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to continue learning and developing professionally.
