Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Project Manager/Estimator to join our dynamic team in the mechanical construction industry. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who is passionate about managing mechanical construction projects from conception to completion and has a keen eye for detail in estimating costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, negotiation, takeoffs, and mechanical construction scopes of work.

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Project Manager/Estimator, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of mechanical construction projects.
2. Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for new projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
3. Reviewing blueprints and technical specifications to ensure that all requirements are met.
4. Managing and responding to project RFIs effectively and in a timely manner.
5. Negotiating contracts with subcontractors and vendors to reach profitable agreements.
6. Conducting risk management to minimize project risks and uncertainties.
7. Performing quantity takeoffs and validating the accuracy of data used in estimates.
8. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and internal team members.
9. Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
10. Preparing and presenting project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this exciting role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in project management and cost estimation in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in managing mechanical construction projects.
4. Strong knowledge and experience in RFI, negotiation, labor, time and material, pre-bid, and takeoff.
5. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
8. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
