Mechanical HVAC Designer

We're searching for a Mechanical HVAC Designer in the greater Sarasota area.

You will be responsible for supporting the lead Mechanical Engineer on projects in producing construction documents.

Duties

Support the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
Design and select HVAC systems and equipment.
Support workflow of foreman and project managers.
Work from schematic sketches to produce plan drawings.
Organize and file project drawings.
Responsible for production of construction documents
Perform heating/cooling load calculations, site surveys, layout and sizing of ductwork and piping systems
Perform pressure loss calculations and equipment selections
Coordinate with architectural and structural building components
Interact with clients in on-line coordination meetings and on-site with Project Managers.

Qualifications
Familiarity with applicable building codes and associated engineering design practices
A.S or BS Mechanical Engineering degree
Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel.
REVIT MEP experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
