Are you a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the construction industry? Are you an expert in mechanical construction, HVAC estimating, and MEP construction? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Mechanical Estimator to join our team. This role is vital to our organization as it directly impacts the financial success of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a knack for numbers, an eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in our project planning and execution. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical construction projects, including HVAC and MEP systems.
2. Analyzing blueprints and other project documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
3. Participating in proposal and kickoff meetings to understand project scope and requirements.
4. Preparing and submitting bids for projects, ensuring all estimates are accurate, competitive, and profitable.
5. Conducting takeoffs to determine the quantity of materials needed for projects.
6. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve any issues related to estimates.
7. Keeping track of the latest industry trends, technologies, and pricing to ensure our estimates are up-to-date and competitive.
8. Reviewing all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Mechanical Estimator position will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical construction estimating, including HVAC and MEP systems.
2. Proven experience in preparing and submitting bids for construction projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction costs and principles.
4. Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
5. Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
9. A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
