As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our preconstruction process, ensuring our projects are cost-effective, efficient, and align with our high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates, including HVAC, MEP, chiller, boiler, and piping systems, for a variety of construction projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain bids and quotes.
• Use estimating software such as Trimble and Accubid to prepare accurate and timely estimates.
• Participate in the preparation of bid documents and RFPs, ensuring all aspects of the project are captured and accurately represented.
• Conduct take-offs and work with the Preconstruction Manager ("Pre-Con Manager") to develop strategies and solutions for project execution.
• Regularly communicate with project teams, clients, and management to discuss and resolve issues related to estimates.
• Continually monitor industry trends and advancements in technology to improve estimating processes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proven experience estimating HVAC systems, MEP, chiller, boiler, and piping projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Trimble and Accubid.
• Strong understanding of preconstruction processes, including bid documents, RFPs, and take-offs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and suppliers.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and thorough estimates.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions.
• Knowledge of cooling systems and HVAC systems is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
