Mechanical Estimator (Utility Projects)
We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our Team in New Jersey. This person will collaborate with our project management, estimating team and sales departments to estimate mechanical projects accurately. Successful candidates will at least 2 years of Mechanical Estimation experience, preferably on Utility Projects, and will be proficient in Accubid or related estimation software, Microsoft Excel. Strong customer service and analytical abilities required.
Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or High school diploma with strong history of Mechanical Estimation experience.
• 2-4+ years of Mechanical Estimation experience.
• ACCUBID Software experience and Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level.
• Expertise in take-off estimator planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining organizational focus.
• Must be able to pass a background screening.

Duties:

• Accurately estimate mechanical projects while ensuring profitability and adherence to industry standards.
• Utilize Accubid software efficiently, focusing on enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of the estimation process.
• Collaborate with sales and internal teams to determine the most effective bid strategy.
• Estimate changes for addendums on projects and ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide comprehensive project turnovers to management, facilitating a smooth transition from estimation to project execution.
• File and maintain all documents related to quotations in appropriate software.
• Process project submittal requests promptly, ensuring completion within 24 hours.
• Review post-bid approvals for all assigned projects.
• Stay updated on current market conditions and innovations that could enhance productivity.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends.
• Consult with other departments' clients, vendors, foremen, and personnel to formulate accurate estimates and resolve potential issues.
• Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the estimation process.
