Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of plumbing and mechanical systems for a variety of projects, such as commercial buildings, residential complexes, and industrial facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • System Design: Collaborate with engineers and architects to create efficient and code-compliant plumbing and mechanical systems, including HVAC, water supply, drainage, and fire protection.

  • Blueprint Creation: Develop detailed design plans, schematics, and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project specifications.

  • Code Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local and national building codes and regulations, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary standards and requirements.

  • Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials and equipment for plumbing and mechanical systems, considering factors such as cost, efficiency, and sustainability.

  • System Optimization: Utilize engineering principles and computer-aided design (CAD) software to optimize system layouts for maximum performance and energy efficiency.

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution, addressing any design-related issues or modifications as they arise.

  • Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality checks and reviews of design work to eliminate errors and discrepancies in the final plans.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and change orders throughout the design and construction process.

  • Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in plumbing and mechanical engineering to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional licensure as a Mechanical Engineer or Plumbing Designer, where applicable.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality designs.
