Mechanical Engineer

Our client is a well-respected and award-winning leader in the consulting engineering, commissioning, and construction management industry. Their services include commissioning, construction management, energy, specialty lighting design, fire protection and LV technology and the markets they cover include aerospace, healthcare, higher-education, K-12, federal, specialty manufacturing as well as ports and harbors. Currently they are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer with some experience working on healthcare related projects who can work a hybrid schedule out of their office in Seattle.

Responsibilities:

• Strong Mechanical/HVAC design capability with healthcare projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with people through oral presentations and written communications
• Ability to work well under pressure, juggle, and prioritize multiple projects
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in maintaining strong client relationships are required
• Computer literacy, including all core applications and the ability to quickly learn as needed
• Experienced at using a computer, preferably knowledgeable with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook

Requirements:

• 4+ years of engineering design and project management experience
• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Healthcare design experience in the acute care setting
• Experience and knowledge of the FGI Guidelines, NFPA-99, NEC requirements for backup power for HVAC and medical gases
• HCAI/OSHPD codes, standards, PINS and CANS
