Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Engineer with a focus on the Construction industry to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in our engineering department, leveraging their creativity and expertise in mechanical systems, particularly in the HVAC domain. This is a permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding career path for those who have a knack for problem-solving and a deep interest in building systems.

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Engineer, your duties will encompass a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
2. Applying knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as HVAC systems, engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
3. Conducting product testing and validation procedures to ensure the designs meet quality and customer specifications.
4. Using Revit and other software for designing and drafting mechanical devices and systems.
5. Performing load calculations and sizing equipment for HVAC systems.
6. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and working with vendors and contractors.
7. Coordinating with project managers on job progress and ensuring that the project timeline is followed.
8. Investigating equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and making necessary recommendations.
9. Keeping abreast with the latest advancements in the field and implementing new technologies that could enhance operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Engineer role should possess the following:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry working on mechanical systems, particularly HVAC.
3. Proficiency in using Revit and other design software.
4. Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
5. Demonstrated experience in performing load calculations and sizing equipment for HVAC systems.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate complex mechanical concepts and solutions to team members and clients.
8. Ability to work well in teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. A professional engineering (PE) license is a plus.
