Mechanical Engineer (Customer Facing)

Responsibilities:

1. Working directly with customers to understand their needs, requirements, and constraints, and translating these into technical specifications for our manufacturing team.
2. Designing and developing mechanical systems and products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, and soliciting observations from operators.
3. Applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials to provide feasible solutions.
4. Creating and reviewing 2D and 3D CAD designs, ensuring they meet customer requirements and adhere to industry standards.
5. Conducting product testing, making modifications and improvements as necessary to ensure the final product meets customer expectations.
6. Providing technical support and guidance to customers, addressing any issues or concerns they may have.
7. Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to provide technical expertise and support, helping to secure new business and maintain existing customer relationships.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. PE (Professional Engineer) certification is required.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
4. Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design, with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling.
5. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with customers and explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to improve our products and processes.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
