MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE DESIGNING BATTER BREADING MACHINERY/EQUIPMENT

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design and development of batter breading machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, with specific experience in designing equipment for batter breading processes, and proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, controls engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) to design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for batter breading machines.
Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM) to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
Ensure that designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Conduct structural analysis, tolerance analysis, and feasibility studies to ensure design integrity and optimize performance.
Work closely with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate materials, components, and sub-systems for integration into the equipment.
Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing activities, and iterate designs based on feedback and test results.
Provide technical support and assistance to manufacturing teams during production ramp-up and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
Document design changes, revisions, and updates throughout the product development lifecycle.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in batter breading equipment design.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in mechanical design, with specific experience in designing batter breading machines or similar food processing equipment.
Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, kinematics, and materials selection.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
