Job Details

You will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of our production assembly operation tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, panels, drawers, frames, cables and harnesses while working from diagrams and written instructions. You will be responsible for building new assemblies and occasionally disassembling, modifying, reworking and reassembling experimental or prototype assemblies. You will make continuity checks and quality inspections on your own in-process and completed work.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical/electrical assembly from engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and other production documentation.
  • Ability to interpret and work from drawings, manuals, handbooks, and technical specifications.
  • Work on printed circuit boards (PCB), circuit card assemblies (CCA), and follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Completion and finalization of CCAs after machine manufacture to include separation of PCBs from larger panels, labeling, masking, and conformal coating.
  • Have good hand eye coordination and be able to use a variety of standard hand tools, soldering irons, and the ability to work under a microscope. Inspect assembly work for self and other team members per appropriate standards.
  • Work with engineers to identify issues with new products and improve them. Knowledge of proper ESD controls. Must be detail and quality oriented.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications and manufacturing principles
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
  • Prior experience with electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
  • Basic skills in assembly, soldering, and connectors
