We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our engineering department. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about automotive manufacturing, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing tooling, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance. They will also have a proven track record in managing capital budgets and projects, overseeing facility-related issues, and implementing standard work procedures. This role may require travel to plant and customer sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the manufacturing engineering department, ensuring all projects and tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage tooling, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee capital budget and projects, ensuring they align with company goals and objectives.
  • Resolve facility-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Supervise and direct the engineering department, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Track engineering-related spending, ensuring it aligns with the capital budget.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Implement standard work procedures across all operations to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with TS16949/ISO14001 standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in Excel and other relevant software.
  • Strong technical and analytical engineering skills.
  • Proven track record in managing tooling, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance.
  • Experience in cost reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage capital budget and projects.
  • Knowledge of TS16949/ISO14001 standards.
  • Ability to travel to plant and customer sites as needed.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
