Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
2. Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency.
3. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
4. Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
5. Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
6. Estimate production costs, cost-saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
7. Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
8. Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
9. Coordinate with customers and suppliers regarding product design, tooling, and processes to ensure efficient production methods.
10. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
3. Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other manufacturing design tools.
4. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
5. Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing is a plus.
6. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial equipment.
7. Ability to purchase equipment and make cost-effective decisions.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and creatively.
9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work well in a team.
10. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing projects.
12. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
