Responsibilities:
What you need for this position:
- Innovate and refine plastic manufacturing processes such as structural foam molding and injection molding to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Validate and verify processes to ensure consistent adherence to industry standards and product specifications.
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost production efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize defects.
- Collaborate with tooling and equipment designers to develop molds and dies meeting product requirements and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with material scientists and suppliers to select suitable plastic materials based on mechanical properties, thermal stability, and cost considerations.
- Lead quality control procedures to maintain product consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Manage cross-functional projects for new product introductions, process enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to address production issues and ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations.
What you need for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software for tooling and fixture design.
- Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing processes, including injection molding and extrusion.
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
